Chicago Minority Businesses to Receive 2015 Supplier of the Year Awards

CHICAGO, April 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — The Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council is pleased to announce the five (5) certified minority suppliers who will be recognized at the 48th Annual Chicago Business Opportunity Fair, presented by Allstate. 

The Chicago Business Opportunity Fair (CBOF) is the nation’s longest running multi-day conference and trade fair focused on the economic empowerment and development of minority business enterprises.

On Thursday, April 23, 2015 the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee (MBEIC) will congratulate a stellar list of minority business enterprises, corporate buyers, and champions of supplier diversity at the MBEIC Awards Dinner to be held at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

“We are committed to certify, develop, connect, and advocate for minority suppliers. However, we must also take time to acknowledge their success and their contributions to our economy,” said Shelia Morgan, President and CEO of the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council.

This year five (5) minority business enterprises will be honored as Minority Suppliers of the Year. Each awardee is distinguished by classes, based on annual sales volume:

Class I (less than $1 million); Class II ($1 – 10 million); Class III ($10 – 50 million); and Class IV (greater than $50 million).

On behalf of the ChicagoMSDC, the MBEIC salutes the Minority Suppliers of the Year including:

  • Class I – Jared L. Kelly, President, CEI Media Group
